Anderson Cooper and Andy Cohen reunite for their eighth year as co-hosts of CNN‘s New Year’s Live From Times Square.
The network’s New Year’s extravaganza will include “music, laughter and live coverage from around the world,” per a statement. Musical performers include 50 Cent (who will take the stage from his Las Vegas residency at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino), Patti LaBelle, Mickey Guyton, Sting, Meghan Trainor, Shania Twain, Diplo and more; while the comedian lineup features Michael Ian Black, Amber Ruffin, Whitney Cummins, Amy Sedaris and others.

How to Watch CNN’s New Year’s Eve Live 2025: Start Time, Cable Channel
New Year’s Eve Live with Anderson Cooper and Andy Cohen broadcasts live on CNN and livestreams on Max on Tuesday, Dec. 31, starting at 8 p.m. ET.
Before Cooper and Cohen take the mics, Laura Coates will begin with global New Year’s Eve coverage starting at 7 a.m. ET from London, while Boris Sanchez will be reporting live from Paris starting at 2:45 p.m. ET. Other correspondents will be stationed around the globe, including Richard Quest at Madame Tussauds in Times Square; Randi Kaye in Key West, Florida; Stephanie Elam in Atlantis, Paradise Island in the Bahamas; and Gary Tuchman at Prescott, Arizona. Over a dozen more cities will be included in coverage, including Sydney, Seoul, Tokyo, Bangkok, Hong Kong, Athens, Nairobi, Madrid and Rio de Janeiro.
CNN correspondents Sara Sidner, Harry Enten and Cari Champion will take over in Austin for the broadcast’s Central Time Zone countdown starting at 11:30 p.m. CT/12:30 a.m. ET.

Co-hosted Anderson Cooper (who has led the network’s NYE coverage for over 20 years) and Andy Cohen, the star-studded Times Square celebration will feature music and comedy.
Musical performers include 50 Cent (from his Las Vegas residency at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino), Mickey Guyton (who will sing John Lennon’s “Imagine” before the ball drops in Times Square) Sting, Meghan Trainor, Shania Twain, Diplo, Roy Wood Jr., Patti LaBelle and Lil Jon. The show will also feature comedians such as Have I Got News For You co-hosts Michael Ian Black and Amber Ruffin. Other comedians on tap include Whitney Cummings, Adam Devine, Amy Sedaris, Ziwe and Sasheer Zamata.
